Herend Rothschild Bird is one of the most well-known Herend designs, named after its first customers.
The design features a couple of birds sitting on a branch, which symbolizes the famous Rothschild family. The first Rothschild Bird – RO design was painted in the early 1870s.
The traditional Rothschild Bird couple was painted on pure white porcelain with a golden rim. Later on, green, blue, and other colors of fish scale finish rims were painted on the edges. Today, it is one of the most beloved designs with tiny, lovely details.
