Apponyi is one of the most well-known Herend designs. Originating back to the 1930s, Count Apponyi ordered a large dinner service for 60 people. The painters of the Herend Porcelain Manufactory came up with the then minimalistic design idea. Named after its first prominent customer, Apponyi is now world famous.
