About the Herend design – Queen Victoria VBO
Perhaps Herend’s most famous pattern comprises many stylized butterflies and flowers painted in cheerful and lively colors. The combination of red, blue, purple, yellow, and green butterflies, flowers, and sprigs make a cavalcade.
The pattern of Queen Victoria was unveiled at the Great Exhibition in London in 1851, where it scored a huge success. The recognition from the jury meant a gold medal. Queen Victoria ordered a table service in this pattern for her Windsor Castle.
